For as long as I can remember, I have not had an overwhelming passion for any certain job. I only knew that I would be working with people in whatever profession I chose. In my eighth grade year, I became involved in a ministry that was at the time known as Student Venture, (this has now changed to Cru High School), which focuses on loving students while bringing them to Christ. Through this ministry, I came to know what it meant to have a true and personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Because of this, my life was ultimately changed.
As I grew in my relationship with the Lord, I learned how to share my faith and help new believers grow in their walks with God. It has been exciting to see God use me to reach others with the Gospel. I have realized that the most important thing in the world is not education, finances, or popularity, but having an eternal relationship with the Creator of the universe.
After realizing the effect that Cru had on my life, I desperately wanted God to use me in other teenager’s life as well. In December of 2012, I received an amazing opportunity to be a part of a new Cru High School team that was to be placed in Long Beach, California. The vision of this team is to bring the Gospel on campus to students, disciple them, and then train them to share the gospel as well. As I applied for this position through prayer and supplication, God began to open the doors necessary for me to join this new mission.
This is my hope, vision, and calling; to bring Jesus Christ to places where Christianity isn’t accepted. Yes this move will be a drastic change, but I can think of nothing more exciting than to be in the center of God’s will!
